the Capoeira Angola center operates in Haifa city since 2007
apart from its main activities revolving capoeira, we also conduct cultural events from all sorts.
this time we have chosen to have a Group Art exhibition,
with Capoeira lyrics as its theme.
from all of the Capoeira’s components, one might say that music is the soul of the art.
it is the music that connects the practitioners to a common experience out of the ordinary
with the songs the character of each moment born in the Roda, traditional Capoeira ring, is amplified
each artist has chosen a song as a reference
and the paintings are made on Cabasas
(gourd used for the berimbau -the capoeira instrument)
opening night will take place at the Capoeira Angola center, Haifa

Three happy announcements!
first one – we finally opened our online shop ! it took us way too long but we hope its worth it.. big up to all the people who hit us up with emails asking when we’ll drop the shop. we appreciate the patience.. right now we’ve got mostly prints, as time goes by we’ll be adding more n more stuff, lots of them exclusively available on our online shop. We can ship worldwide, and shipping’s FREE inside of israel.
Second, as the new shop opens, we are proud to release our first book. we printed it independently in two different editions, one exclusive hardcover signed and numbered to 30 (already sold out..) and another softcover edition of 80. Each of the books have a silkscreen printed cover. the book has 94 pages, showcasing the crew’s works from 2009-2010. walls, posters, sketchbook pages, paintings and more. get yours here
and last, we’re working on some cool projects these days, one of them is GHOSTOWN, which is basically a crew of creative people from Haifa who joined forces.. more info will come later, but remember this name, you’re gonna hear it a lot from now on.
-this thursday will be the opening of “Inside Job” at the Tel Aviv Museum – the first ever street art show to take place in a museum in Israel.. we’re about to show new works and a wall we painted inside the place. participating beside us are 7 great artists: Adi “crazy eye” Sened, Ame72, Foma, Klone, Know Hope, Yochai Matos and Zero Cents.
– The last year was crazy for us.. we saw places in the world we never imagined we’ll get to see, and painted more than we ever did, It felt like the gypsies were living the dream… we never really planned to get into the “art world”, always just wanted to do graffiti and posters… Up until a year ago we hadn’t more than 2-3 shows in some small galleries, and suddenly we show our stuff at the 3 biggest museums in Israel, all in one hectic summer.. weird, but mostly great.. for us it’s pretty much an opportunity to take a break from everything and finally just sit in our studio and work on paintings.. come see it this Thursday @ Helena Rubinstein Pavilion, 20:00. here’s a sneak peek:
